Prayer of Thanks to Start Each Day

Dear Father in Heaven,

Thank You for this wonderful morning and for seeing the sun rise again. Thank You for giving me another chance to live life to the fullest.

Thank You, Lord God, for giving me another day to spend with my family and friends and to show them that I appreciate and love them. Thank You for surrounding me with these people who care for me and who accept me just the way I am. I hope they know how truly grateful I am for the gift of their presence, their time, their love, and their friendship. I know my life is blessed because of them.

Thank You in advance for the blessings you will shower upon me and my friends and family today. I promise never to take even the littlest things for granted. Big and small blessings are equal in Your eyes, and so they should also be in mine.

Thank You, too, for the challenges that this day will bring. I promise that whatever is thrown my way, no matter how hard and discouraging they are, I will accept and receive them with full faith in You and in Your goodness. I promise I will take them as Your way of making me a stronger individual and more worthy of Your grace.

Lord, I entrust my loved ones under Your care and guidance. Not just today but every day they are alive. Please let them go about their tasks safely and with the knowledge that You are with them at all times.

Please, Lord, give them the strength and the courage to face whatever challenges this day brings. Carry them through and let them overcome their trials and hardships with their minds still sharp, their hearts still full, and their spirits intact. And at the end of today, please wrap them up in your loving embrace and give them peace.

As I woke up today, I realized how blessed I am because of the wonderful people I call my family and friends. They lift me when I am down, comfort me when I am sad, and give me strength when I am weak. Knowing that I have them makes my heart sing with gladness and gratitude.

So I humbly ask that You bless my loved ones today and always, just as You have blessed me. Bless their homes and their respective families. Let their efforts always yield great results and grant them success. May they always have food on their tables, clothes on their backs, and roofs over their heads. Heal them if they are sick, and give them peace of mind if they are troubled. Give them warmth when they feel cold and a reason to fight when they despair and feel dejected. Let them know that they are enough when they feel inadequate and that they are shielded when they feel naked and vulnerable. Lighten their burden if they feel it too heavy to bear, and lead them back home to You if they ever lose their way.

Dear God,

Thank You for the gift of family and friends. Because of them, I feel confident and assured throughout my day.

Lord, please keep my loved ones safe and sound. We won’t be physically together as we do our separate tasks and responsibilities, so I entrust them to your care. Send your angels to guard and protect them from harm, misfortune, or oppression. As for those who now live miles and oceans away from me, please keep watch over them and shield them from anything untoward.

Give my loved ones good health, Lord God, and envelop them with Your healing light, so they are always protected from illnesses.

These I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Friends and Family Going Through Tough Times

Good morning, dear God.

Today, I am praying for my family and friends who are going through challenging times. Please give them the strength never to give up and the will to carry on with life despite its many difficulties. When they lose hope, show them that things will be better soon and that they all need to hold on to You, keep their faith, and trust in Your goodness and mercy.

I also pray for loved ones suffering from depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Please hold their hand and keep them tethered, Do not allow them to lose themselves. Show them that glimmer of light amidst the darkness they are experiencing. Show them the way out of wherever they are trapped. Send them more people for love and support.

For friends struggling, in one way or another, with their family, professional, and social life, I pray for perseverance and resilience. Guide them as they soldier on. I pray that they find the solution to their problems and dilemmas, even if that solution means a bit of sacrifice, like giving up on certain relationships and breaking patterns. I pray that You grant them wisdom, acceptance, and the ability to embrace change if these are what they need to be truly happy.

Please, Lord, lead them to the right path all the time. And please let the world be a better place for all of us.
