What you do at the start of your day determines how your whole day will go. This means that whatever you do in the morning must prepare you for whatever’s to come. As Christians, it is customary for us to pray at bedtime before we close our eyes to sleep. But do you pray in the morning as well? Praying in the morning helps ease the impending stress that is to come during the day. Putting your worries aside and praying helps you start your day right, energizing and comforting you to tackle whatever the day throws at you.

Dear Lord, I wake up today, and I pray that you guide me as I work, study, and carry out my day.
Every morning, I try to plan how my day would go, but something always goes wrong.
Today, I seek your guidance, God. Please lead me to the right path so that I may be of help to others, as well as to myself.
Guide me to be Christlike in thoughts and actions, so I can be proud to say I am a true child of God.
I ask you, Lord, to help me resist temptation.
I ask you, Lord, to help pull me away from evil thoughts and deeds.
I ask you, Lord, to say no to things that will tear me apart from Your love and grace.
And I ask you, Lord, to guide me today so I may act in accordance with Your Word.

Good morning, God. Thank You for giving me another day to right the wrongs of yesterday.
As I start this new day, I pray that You send me Your blessings and grace.
Forgive me for all the sins I did yesterday, and thank You for giving me another chance to prove my worth to You, o God.
As I awake and prepare for this new day, I seek Your blessing, guidance, and abundance.
Each new day creates an opportunity for me to start anew, and each morning that I open my eyes is such a wonderful gift.
Thank you, Lord, for all the new days You give me, as I know You have plans for me to fulfill.

Dear God, first of all, thank You for giving me a new morning and a new day to live my life as one of Your children on Earth.
As I wake up and get up from bed, I start my day standing before You, thanking you for opening my eyes today.
I may ask You for many things, but for today God, I ask You to help me let go of the past.
By letting go of the past, I am able to live in the now and revel in the beauty of the day. You’re giving me.
As a human being, I am emotional, fearful, and anxious. I am angry at the past, resentful, and afraid of the future.
While I have beset with emotions, I always remind myself that You are there, God.
You give me strength, calmness, peace, and hope.
Teach me to let go of my sins, mistakes, anxieties, and everything that has worried me.

O merciful God, thank You for today and every day that You give me life.
As I wake up today, I cannot help but kneel in prayer for all the love, blessings, and grace You have given me.
I have a roof over my head, food to eat, clean clothes, and a life I am excited to wake up to.
There is nothing more than I want, and for that, I am praying to You to thank You for Your abundant love for me.
There were times in my life when I was angry, sad, and lonely, but seeking You, Lord, has given me the peace that I so long searched for.

God, please give me the courage to say no to things that do not add value to my life as a Christian.
